About The Retina Center: Nicole Somani, MD

Dr. Nicole “Nikki” Somani is an American Board of Ophthalmology–certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the retina, vitreous, and macula. Dr. Somani grew up in Munster, Indiana before moving to California, where she attended UCLA and graduated with College Honors. While at UCLA, she wrote for the science and health section of The Daily Bruin, an experience that helped her appreciate how deeply medicine can impact patients’ lives and inspired her to pursue a career as a physician.
