About Ziker Cleaners

Ziker Cleaners was founded in 1917 by Joe Ziker, a Russian immigrant who started the business in South Bend, Indiana. Initially serving Vaudeville entertainers, the business grew into a 55-store operation by the 1940s under Joe and his wife Molly. After World War II, their sons Mort and Bob joined the company, with Mort leading it to profitability by 1960. The company expanded and diversified over the decades, including a significant Industrial Uniform segment established in 1971. In 2014, Ziker sold the Industrial Uniform business to refocus on dry cleaning, relocating to a modern facility in Mishawaka in 2016. David Ziker, Mort's son, became the sole owner in 2018, continuing the family legacy of community service and business innovation.
